Gould’s uncontrollable movements are transformed through a process of resistance, unearthing new manifestations of movement and vocalization in an effort to prolong a state of stabilization. The work is performed repeatedly as a set of exercises, with a weighted sack of earth from the site bound to the wrists. Here it is performed with salt crystal and rock weight.
